Reflex Design Team in NZ included a 20 degree dead rise, massive flare, fine bow entry, aft buoyancy pods and riding plank in the design features to achieve stability, soft entry with limited heeling in turns and a horizontal flat exit from idle to planing speeds. The R7 Offshore runs very flat and the bullish bow has plenty of reserve buoyancy to get the nose up and out of the troughs quickly. All this translates to outstanding stability at rest and the ability to get up on the plane at very low speeds, which uses less fuel.
